4. Mix hot water and baking soda.
5. And with your mixer, mix your melted butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar together.

10. Off from the mixer, add in your chocolate chip (along with your nuts if you prefer) and stir it manually with a spatula.
11. Take around 1/4 cup of the mixture and place it on top of the parchment paper. Do that until your done. (You MIGHT need 2 baking trays) and dont forget to leave it a space for each batter (at least 2 or 3 inches apart from another).
12. Pop it into the oven and bake it for around 15-20 minutes.

TIPS:

- If you dont have brown sugar you can just substitute it with a normal granulated sugar. Make it less (if its says 1 cup of brown sugar you can use 3/4 cup of granulated sugar.)
- Brown sugar = Palm Sugar
- If you want your cookies to be chewy then bake it until the edges of the cookies is slightly crisps. But the middle part is still not really baked yet (soft when you touch it).
- If you want your cookies to be crunchy, then just bake it more longer until its slightly brown or crisps.
